Website information practices

Privacy Policy

This notice explains what information this website processes when you browse, prepare an enquiry or contact Tom Chiew.

1. Who is responsible for this website

Johor Industrial Factory is operated by Tom Chiew as an industrial property and manufacturing site-selection advisory. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to tomchiew82@gmail.com or +60 12-762 2769.

2. Information we may process

Depending on how you use the website, information may include:

  • your name, company, email address and telephone or WhatsApp number;
  • factory, industrial land, production, facility, location, budget or timing requirements you choose to provide;
  • messages and attachments you choose to send through WhatsApp or email; and
  • website usage information such as pages viewed, interactions, approximate location, device or browser information, and cookie identifiers collected through Google Analytics.

Please do not submit identification documents, financial account details, health information or other sensitive information through the website enquiry form.

3. How the information is used

Information is used to respond to enquiries, understand property and production requirements, prepare relevant shortlists, arrange follow-up, improve the website, measure enquiries and maintain appropriate business or legal records. We do not sell personal data.

4. Enquiry form and WhatsApp

The website form does not automatically send or store your completed enquiry on this website. It prepares a message and opens WhatsApp. You can review, change or cancel the message before sending it. If you send it, WhatsApp processes the communication under its own terms and privacy policy, and Tom receives the information through WhatsApp.

5. Google Analytics and cookies

This website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and interactions, including events such as WhatsApp clicks and completed enquiry preparation. Google states that GA4 uses first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish users and preserve session state. The default expiry listed by Google for each is two years, although browser and configuration limits may apply.

You can restrict or delete cookies through your browser. Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Read Google's GA4 cookie information and Analytics data safeguards.

6. Service providers and cross-border processing

Information may be processed by service providers used to operate this website and communications, including website hosting, Google Analytics, WhatsApp and email providers. These providers may process information in countries outside Malaysia under their own terms, privacy practices and security arrangements. Information may also be disclosed where required by law, to protect legal rights, or to professional advisers supporting a legitimate transaction or service.

7. Retention and security

Enquiry and business correspondence is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, provide requested services, maintain relevant records or meet legal obligations. Analytics information follows the settings and retention controls of the applicable Google Analytics property. Reasonable administrative and technical precautions are used, but no internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

8. Your choices and requests

You may ask about personal data held in relation to your enquiry, request correction, withdraw a consent where applicable, or request deletion subject to legal and record-keeping requirements. Send the request to tomchiew82@gmail.com and include enough detail to identify the relevant communication. Identity verification may be requested before acting.

9. External links and children

This website links to third-party sites that have their own privacy practices. It is intended for business users and is not directed to children.

10. Changes to this policy

This notice may be updated when website tools, business practices or legal requirements change. The latest version and review date will appear on this page.
